Did Santa Bring You an eBook reader?

Starting with its 2009 titles, Bella Books is going to be releasing the eBook version (in both PDF and MOBI formats) of its new releases at the same time as the print release. So you can get all the new releases without any delay, and take all of them on planes, trains and automobiles. Or (like me) to the gym, waiting for the kids to get out of wrestling practice or enjoying a fine latte.

I have a number of readers from the UK and most countries in Europe, so I’m really delighted that they’ll be able to get the latest books when North Americans do. Plus, the free offer of my eStory from Bella Presents, “Happy New Year, Too,” has been extended to January 20. That means everyone can get KG MacGregor’s or Tracey Richardson’s new book (or both!) and the eStory.

Next month, Bella is rereleasing The Dawning, which has been out of print for several years. I originally released it under the pen name of Laura Adams, and it’s the sequel to Night Vision. Both are romantic stories with science-fiction angles. The Dawning specifically pays tribute to the astronauts who died in the Challenger explosion. It will be available as an eBook for the very first time.

  1. Thanks for the reply! I’ve got my new Kindle and I’m thrilled with it so I’ll be visiting the website to fill ‘er up! ๐Ÿ˜‰RLMp.s. I named my Kindle Isabella, Bella for short. Bella Books isn’t the main reason (Isabella Rossellini is of course!), but it’s still a nice connection all the same since I have been reading Naiad and now Bella books since I came out in the mid-80’s. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Hi RLM — Thank you for posting. The eBooks from the smaller presses like Bella are available only at their own websites. To transfer a book into Kindle would require giving Amazon a big cut of the remaining profits, when we already have the books in MOBI and ADORE formats, which can be read on the Kindle. The eBook for Warming Trend will be available for order a few days before its release, and in your mailbox for downloading on April 14.

  3. Just saw this when I was looking on Amazon for new books by the authors I read. Yay for you and yay for Bella! I’m about to get a Kindle so was going through on Amazon and clicking “I want to read this in a Kindle version” for all the lesbian books on my wishlist since most of those publishers aren’t on the e-book bandwagon yet. Heh! Though I didn’t see your upcoming “Warming Trend” listed as a pre-order available in anything other than paperback. Hopefully once it’s released that will change.RLM
